A French Artisan Jam-Maker
I am an artisan jam-maker based in the department of the Gard near Nîmes, in the south of France. For several years now I have been crafting jam the old-fashioned way, working entirely by hand (my hands!) just as our grandmothers did. All of my jams are cooked in small batches in copper pans, gently stirring the fruit as it cooks with a beech wood spoon. My aim is to bring out the intense flavour of the fruit itself – keep all of its natural goodness and freshness intact. I use only the highest quality ingredients: carefully selected fruit, cane sugar, lemon juice and citrus pectin. No preservatives, no artificial colours. The finished product is a high-end, luxury jam, now available from gourmet grocers across the region and also served in some of our best hotels and restaurants.
